Mission Statement
Te Roopu Tupu Tahi – Growing Together in Unity
Separated Parenting Services works to ensure children's rights includes both a father and a mother when a relationship breaks up.
Separated Parenting Services will follow the principal of the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child that has as it's primary aim, the promotion of the best interest of the child.
Our services are extended to any family member who wants to actively be involved in their children's or grandchildren's lives, including step-parents.
The SPS Committee operates
under principles and objectives, which apply to all members. These include:
-To treat all men and women equally without discrimination of any kind;
-To promote conciliation as the best approach to Family Law; and
- To encourage members to access and carry out self-help strategies for themselves,
their ex-partners and their children.
Meetings are held every Thursday 7pm at Caro Street Community Building and last Wednesday of the month at Cambridge Community House 7.15pm to 8.45pm.
